Bleeding edge reverse PR SEO strategy

Here is a safer way to get place high in Google.

Piss people off.

Reportedly, DecorMyEyes founder Vitaly Borker arrested and charged with customers cheat and repeated and violent threats to those who try to return the defective goods.

Not a fan of "How To Win Friends And Influence people" then:)

SEO fans will be interested in this bit:

Hi, my name is Stanley DecorMyEyes.com "that started post." "I wanted to just let you guys know that the more responses you post people that get more business and more hits and sales." "My goal is the NEGATIVE advertising."It's all part of a sales strategy, he said. Online chat about DecorMyEyes, even angry online chatter, pushed the website in Google search results, higher resulted more sales. He graduated with a sarcastic expression of gratitude: "I never had the amount of traffic I have now since my first complaint." I'm in heaven

If you look at DecorMyEyes.com backlinks, you will find that a significant part of link incoming that some are crap, but includes also links from people like the New York Times. Profile links are a direct result of bad publicity.

Of course this was always fly in Google's ointment. Link-oriented approach to the ranking reflects the attention that receives a site Google. This does not necessarily mean the site is supported and in this case, the opposite is true.

Overlooking a PR disaster in every sense of the word Google were to act quickly:

We were horrified to read Rodriguez's horrible experience about woman. Although our initial analysis pointed out this is a borderline case and not a widespread problem in our search results, we convened immediately a team that the problem carefully watched. The team developed a first algorithmic solution, implemented, and the solution is already live

Hmmm.... was the algorithmic solution "If domain DecorMyEyes.com =, then PR = 0":)

Jokes aside, Google explains the options that you could have taken to avoid such problems, but not to take note on the step chose finally cryptic:

Instead experience over the last couple of days, we developed an algorithmic solution that detects the dealer from the times article along with hundreds of other merchants provide an extremely poor user our opinion. The algorithm we integrated in our search rankings represents a first solution to this problem and Google users are now getting a better experience as a result

Read between the lines, it is clear that.... ERM... Hmmmm.........Ich don't know about you, but I'm not smarter! This might mean something! Assembly by a team of hand editors to baby sit an Algo results, or the beginnings of some dreadful clever semantic analysis.

Hard to say.

Google made the case is a break though that would be true only on the surface. The basic problem for Google, link context is and this is a much more difficult problem to solve.

If you Google launched uses a clever backlink check as a form of voting. The more inbound links a website had, sites as authoritative, be the higher the rank.

But the Web has changed.

These days we have Facebook and social media. Most people on the Web not Web publishers in the traditional sense. Most people on the net participate but don't have their own websites. Post on others sites over which you have little control. Google has to make this sense of all because Google still wants to know how to pay people the most attention.

The beating heart of a link is a trademark of attention.

Google collects marker of attention.

As the PR - public relations in - shows problem with DecorMyEyes popularity and authority are not enough calculations. Google's "Black box" has also figuring out context. The most SEOs would appreciate that Google is putting a lot of work into semantic analysis.

This is why it is always important to handle SEO as a PR exercise. Links can come from anywhere and whether you no follow, script or otherwise, are all markers of attention. Google's job will always be to gather and make sense you. All marker attention are valuable to the webmaster.

Well, almost everything.

DecorMyEyes turned into a marketing strategy, but in terms of SEO, it was never going to last. First rule of SEOClub is you publicly embarrass not Google.

Be interesting.

In a useful way.

Oscar Wilde, said "the only thing worse than spoken not talked about was". Malcolm McLaren said something similar: "bad publicity is not as good as good advertising, it is ten times better". Brendan Behan "All publicity is good, except an obituary notice".

Received positive reviews. "Encourage" reviews. Go where your customers are, and get the conversation started. Do you have a story? Be controversial when it suits. To find an angle and it to work. Link.

If you think PR think public relations.
